Welcome to MotoXtreme, a nationally renowned, family run, specialist motocross shop which first started trading back in 1992. The business was set up by Alan Brown, which he now runs today with his son and business partner, Tom. They are both very passionate in helping beginners, budding young riders and enthusiasts of all abilities progress in the sport.
In 2004, the business became an official Kawasaki Main Dealer with full spares support. The shop has a large range of second-hand bikes available to suit all price ranges. They have an extensive range of spares, clothing, helmets, boots and sundry items. They like to try and test everything they sell so you know that you are getting the very best products at a competitive price.
Alan and Tom bring a wealth of motocross and off-road experience to the business. Back in the 1980’s Alan had a very successful career at both National and International level. He was fully sponsored, riding in the ACU British Support Championship, AMCA National Championship, IMBA National Team Member (1981). Alan won a silver medal in the 1984 ISDE round in Assen and finished a fantastic 2nd behind world famous Dutch National Champion, Gerard Rond in the final MX test. Alan was also a heat winner, in the now World famous, Weston-Super-Mare Beach Race.
When MotoXtreme opened in 1992, Alan’s son, Tom, was already well into schoolboy motocross. Tom progressed at a rapid pace as a schoolboy and by the early 90’s was riding the National Under 21 British Championship, which brought him plenty of success. Tom also had good success in the 125cc Dutch Grand Prix, Mr Thumper Cross Series, a win in the 2003 BSMA AMX semi-finals and competed in the 2014 British Evo Series.
Back in 1992 Alan formed “Team MotoXtreme” with a purpose to help and support the vast array of young and up and coming local talent. Some of these riders went on to ride at World Grand Prix level. They include: Mark Hucklebridge, Tom Church, Sam Davis, George Davis, James Dodd, Lewis Gregory, Ross Catabiano, Nathan Jones and Daniel Brunt to name but a few. Alan worked alongside legendary engine builder Dudley Witt, Alan took that experience, travelling all over the World as a race mechanic to Mark Hucklebridge during his World Grand Prix campaign.
Tom now organises the famous Mike Brown Memorial Race on Good Friday, in honour of his late uncle. An event that has featured some of the best riders from the world of motocross. Tom’s new venture will be running practice days for young riders where he can pass on his skills and knowledge.
When you buy from them you will have the warm knowledge that you are buying a quality product, backed by years of experience. They are always there to help and answer your questions however large or small.
